Fostering is the heart of our rescue. Because we are a foster-based organization, we can only save dogs and cats when loving people like you open your homes to them. Every time you say “yes” to fostering, you are quite literally pulling an animal off a euthanasia list and giving them the second chance they would never have had alone.

Shelter life can dim even the brightest spirits. Dogs and cats who are sweet, gentle, or playful in real life often shut down in a noisy, overwhelming shelter environment—showing fear, anxiety, or sadness that makes it harder for adopters to see who they truly are. But everything changes the moment they enter a foster home.

When you foster, you give them a safe place to decompress, rest, heal, and feel loved—often for the first time in their lives. With your patience, affection, and simple daily routines, their personalities blossom. Their confidence grows. And slowly, they rediscover joy. Your home becomes the bridge between the life they came from and the forever family still waiting to find them.
