*missing a leg

Princess was reported to local authorities after being hit by a car. She was brought to the local shelter for emergency medical attention but they could not save her rear left leg. Princess was microchipped, but her owner could no longer care for her, so she remained in the shelter. She recovered well and was a favorite of the volunteers. Her missing leg is not a hindrance in her daily life. After living in the shelter just shy of 2 1/2 years, our rescue pulled her into a foster home. Our hope is that we can share her story to a larger audience to find her a forever home.

As a senior dog, she likes to chill out and is shy at first, but when she warms up, you will see her loving nature. Currently she lives in a home with children and another dog and is adapting well in the home environment. Contact us for a meet and greet to connect with this amazing dog.
Hennessey

German Shepherd mix
Male - altered
8 years (approximate)
Hennessey is a wonderful dog towards all humans but would be best in a home as the only dog. At 104 pounds he is a strong dog but a real sweetheart. He is likely not a good match for homes with other pets such as cats. Hennessey loves walks and attention. He has been in foster care for over a year after being pulled from the local shelter where he was not doing well in a crowded environment. Continued training is recommended. Please contact us for additional details!

Honey is a senior dog at 96 lbs. She is a sweet lady that needs a loving home. Honey does not need lots of exercise; her joints issues require low intensity walks and comfortable beds to lay around most of the day. She gets along with other dogs and is friendly to humans. We have just pulled her into our rescue and are learning more about her everyday. Please reach out with specific questions and yes you can foster to adopt!
Mindy
Doberman Pinscher & Husky mix
Female - altered
3 years (approximate)

Mindy was living in a local shelter for 7 months before we placed her in foster care. During the first few weeks of her time at the shelter, she responded well to volunteers walking and engaging with her. Sadly, it did not take long for her to start to withdraw. In the last few months at the shelter Mindy was terrified of every noise on her walks to the point where she would not walk at all.

In foster care, Mindy is doing well but is still exhibiting signs of fear to loud noises. Currently she lives in a home with a cat and dog where she gets along with them most of the time. However, based on her interactions, we recommend a home with no small children and perhaps as an only dog. Mindy is still decompressing from her shelter experience and will need more time for her loving personality to return. Mindy needs a forever home that will give her the gift of patience with love.

Meet our newest fosters, Churro and Pepita. They were struggling in the shelter environment so A4P Animal Rescue are fostering them back to health. They are too young to be fixed now but we are committed to ensuring their health prior to adoption. They do not need to be fostered or adopted together but they make a great pair.
We are still getting to know these two sweet ladies so please reach out to learn more about thor personalities.
